Hospitality PBX
The following case study centers around utilizing a hotel’s current PBX to ride over existing internet service eliminating the need for a secondary internet connection or phone service provider. With the rise of personal mobile phone use hotels have seen a decrease in the usage of in-room phones for outgoing calls, therefore traditional analog phone setups are less necessary than ever before. By using a small portion of the existing guest WiFi bandwidth, in-room phone cost can be drastically reduced by the cancellation of antiquated analog services.
Assessment
Assessment began with a detailed review of the Client’s existing phone and internet contracts. Redpoint Connect received the Clients invoices and engaged with a National Phone Provider to complete an evaluation of current prices, compatibility, and timelines for conversion. More specifically, in conjunction with the hotel’s WiFi support service, critical information regarding the network configuration was obtained and reviewed internally (bandwidth, available IP addresses, etc.). After scheduling a site visit with the Client, National Partner, and PBX vendor, Redpoint completed an evaluation of the Client’s compatibility and necessary equipment. Following evaluation qualified candidates are provided with a conversion timeline and cost comparison.
